What is included in All-Inclusive Resorts?

Many people choose to book vacations at all-inclusive resorts because of the convenience and money it can save as opposed to doing things ala cart. While in most cases, this is true, be sure you know what is included before you book a vacation as you don't want to have an expensive surprise bill waiting for you at the end of a vacation.

There are some general things that most all-inclusive resorts include in their pricing. So, what should you expect when booking an all-inclusive vacation? First of all you will more than likely have access to transportation to and from the airport. Before you depart on your trip ask the resort where you need to go when the plane arrives to get this transportation.

Food and drinks are typically provided as well. This could be anything from breakfast, lunch and dinner off a particular menu for guests who have paid for the all-inclusive vacation to midnight snacks and afternoon teas depending on where you are staying. Some resorts will give you all the non-alcoholic beverages that you want, but if you want a drink with alcohol you have to pay for it. You might also have complimentary drinks and snacks in your room, but make sure that you won't be charge extra as mini bar prices can be high.

There are usually activities and programs that are included at all-inclusive resorts. This could be anything from children's programs and activities to dinner shows to snorkeling and scuba diving. Of course there are always other tempting activities that you have to pay for, but you just have to decide if it is worth skipping the included activities for something else.

Because each all-inclusive resort has its own set of guidelines, you will more than likely have more things included at some places than others. It's all in what you are looking for, where you want to go and what you want to experience. No matter which vacation you choose, you will no doubt save money and hassle by booking a vacation at an all-inclusive resort.
