Did We Create Osama bin Laden?

Many who follow the history of Osama bin Laden will tell you that the we created the man, who later became our worst enemy. Many decades prior we helped the Freedom Fighters in Afghanistan stave off the Russian encroachment.

We supplied the Osama bin Laden Freedom Fighters and the 135 stinger missiles, with tactical advisors and CIA exploits was somewhat an interesting game and Russian Domino affect, as well but our help then did produce Russia's Viet Nam so to speak, he was a semi-left over from that era. His father was also an ally so many years back as a Saudi Construction man.

Yes, one could say there were some errors made and some animosity left over there. Indeed hindsight of supporting guerrillas and over throwing dictators and replacing them around the world in a Machiavellian world is not easy. We have done the best we thought we could, those decisions and events are not my doing, however it is very easy to re-write history and call everything a mistake. I feel that may not be entirely a smart avenue to travel.

One big mistake was allowing OBL to turn into a national hero, as we tried to send in Tomahawk missiles to get him and failed and made him even more popular with his radical Islamic followers and added to his stature and made him a symbol, bigger than life. History is interesting and our support of Osama previously was too. But that was then and this is now. So, consider all this in your thoughts on International Terrorism.
